About Us

Seventeen years ago Mr. Abraham M. Martin, a nearby Mennonite farmer, started this business on his home farm shop with nothing but a locally made moulder, a saw ,a wood planer & some small hand tools. His solid wood trim & mouldings started to sell & his entrepreneurial spirit grew along with his home-farm business. He envisioned a retail sales outlet for not only his trim products, but other locally made Mennonite furniture as well. This vision became a reality here at our location in June of 1997.

Our trim & moulding division managed by Corey Shantz has expanded to supplying contractors from Southern Ontario & beyond. Our Mennonite furniture builders call us daily for moulding supplies to build the furniture you see on our web site. "Do-it-yourselfers" have found a haven of 'WOOD' to satisfy their needs, along with Corey’s resourceful expertise for cost cutting short cuts for their projects. Home renovators doing a restoration come to us in frustration - only to have their spirits lifted when they find out we can match a custom trim from their 100 year old historical home!

Our ample "NO FRILLS" 10,000 square foot showroom contains many of the available standard furniture pieces you view on our web site. Should you require a size alteration - our Mennonite builders are eager to please if the request is structurally feasible. Changes in design can also be accommodated along with your choice of wood - solid pine, oak, 1/4 cut oak, maple or cherry. Add to this your personal colour choice - in unequalled professional finishing & the result is a family heirloom to be cherished for generations!

When you place your order you will ask "how long will it take?" This question always brings a smile to our faces. It pretty much depends on whether it is maple syrup time, seeding, haying or harvest season, since farming is the Mennonite primary lifestyle. We also must bear in mind that this is not the Ford Motor Company production line! Having said this you may choose from anything in stock for immediate delivery, or accept our standard 4 - 10 week time frame.

Since we do not incorporate a delivery charge in our pricing structure, our customers make their own delivery arrangements. Our overseas customers arrange for shipping containers & many in the North America territory are so intrigued by our establishment that they come to Ontario to vacation with a U-Haul en-tow.

We accept Visa & Mastercard and require a fifty percent deposit when placing your order. Final payment to be made upon shipping.
